Mingyur Rinpoche’s life and activity cannot be reduced to a single fixed address, yet his primary base is clear. His main residence and locus of practice and teaching is Tergar Osel Ling Monastery, situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu in Nepal. From this setting, his role as a meditation master is grounded in a specific monastic environment, even as his influence extends far beyond its physical boundaries. The monastery thus functions as a spiritual home, a place where his lineage, training, and community converge in a stable way.

At the same time, his life exemplifies the mobility characteristic of many contemporary Tibetan masters. While rooted in Tergar Osel Ling, he also travels to other regions, including parts of the Western world, to guide retreats and offer teachings. Rather than being confined to one locale, his presence moves along with the needs of students and communities, reflecting a dynamic expression of the Dharma.
