Ramana Maharshi (30 December 1879 – 14 April 1950) was a South Indian Hindu sage, and a proponent of Advaita Vedanta (non-dualism). Also known as Bhagavan - he advocated self-enquiry (Atma-Vichara) as a means to Self-realization.
