Nisargadatta Maharaj, born Maruti Shivrampant Kambli, was an Indian guru of nondualism belonging to the Navnath Sampradaya. He was a householder and petty shopkeeper in Bombay (now Mumbai) where he lived, and died in 1981 at the age of 84.
