Mirabai, the renowned devotional Bhakti saint, was born in 1498 in the village of Kurki, located in the Merta district of Rajasthan, India. She was born into a royal Rajput family, and her father, Ratan Singh, was the ruler of the kingdom of Merta.

She also faced criticism and persecution from society for her unorthodox ways and her refusal to follow societal norms.

Despite the challenges, Mirabai remained steadfast in her devotion to Lord Krishna and continued to spread his message of love and devotion. She left her royal life behind and embarked on a journey as a wandering saint, spreading the teachings of Bhakti and inspiring many to follow the path of devotion.
